One of the few vines that can ripen its grapes in the open air in the Upper Ardennes (Highland - 500m elevation), where its resistance to winter cold is also sufficient: -25 to -30 degrees.
This is a very early Latvian vine with big red grapes, aromatic and delicious. Its taste is foxy (strawberry like) because it is an hybrid Vitis labrusca x Vitis vinifera.

According to its pedigree, some treatment would however be necessary in some areas (we do not need spraying it here), as well as the presence of another nearby vine to ensure pollination: it is indeed a female vine.
