PALATINA
Young grafted grapevine ready to bear fruits sold in 3 Litres container. About 70 cm tall. Rootstock: SO4.
A Hungarian grapevine giving a good table grape outside (Villard blanc X Koeningin der Weingaerten).
This variety is harvested at mid-September outdoors in Belgium lowlands; however it needs a good exposure in highland (Ardennes): tying on a wall to the south.
It produces rather large, airy clusters bearing big round to egg-shaped berries that are sweet with some muscatel taste.
This vine is resistant to fungal diseases, suitable for organic farming. Its resistance to winter frost is estimated at -22 degrees centigrade.
