Sulphur
Reference :
SOUFRE
Sulphur powder or wettable powder (mixed with water) is used preventively and curatively against grapevine powdery mildew.
It is a natural product, virtually harmless to the environment and humans, which is freely available in all garden centres and drugstores.
Still consult the manufacturer's instructions before use.
In general, doses range from 4 to 10 Kg of sulphur per hectare and it is advisable to perform a preliminary test because some grapevine varieties are more susceptible than others to sulphur.
As a preventive protection, it is applied in many areas at the following stages:
- When young leaves appear out from the grapevine buds.
- From flowering to bunch closure.
As treatment, spray twice at 5 to 7 days interval with a dose of 6.5 to 10 kg of Sulphur / ha.
Delay before harvest: 3 days.
